After showing involvement as early as August 2016, the estimated seven-month project to transform a data center into an office space was awarded to BP Mechanical the first week of January. Soon after, the HVAC design of the 6,000-square foot room (located on the 11th floor) was completed. This not only included a 15- ton packaged air-cooling system but an exposed flat oval fit-out as well. With few difficulties, the BP Mechanical Special Projects Group took the longevity of project under consideration while drafting a design that was financially best for the client. In fact, this job, located in Gramercy basically started from scratch and required only about eight weeks of dedicated work to complete the buildout.
