It is righteous for an individual to go to work every day to earn an honest living. It is inspirational for that same individual to offer their free time to pursue their inner passion in order to accomplish one of the greatest and most selfless acts of bravery, becoming a volunteer fire fighter. It is BP’s honor to have a true “hero”, the brave and humble, Sean Nurse, a part of our family for the past 7 years.
Sean Nurse is one of The BP Groups’ lead technicians. Not only is Nurse extremely knowledgeable in the technical aspect of the HVAC industry, but he is a reliable employee who performs at premium capability day in and day out. For the past 5 years he has also been a proud volunteer fire fighter and member of Engine Company 704 in Elmont, Town of Hempstead.
Over and beyond Sean’s everyday career responsibilities at BP, he’s devoted his time and energy to helping his community by performing fearless heroic acts with the fire department. Some of his responsibilities include, but are not limited to, putting out structural fires, responding to car accidents and natural disasters. He is CPR certified and highly experienced in search and rescue, bailout jumps, extraction, and hazmat.
In 2013, Nurse was awarded with a commemorative pin for his courageous service during the 2012 Superstorm Sandy. Additionally, he’s been a recipient of various other certificates of recognition during the course of his tenure with the department.
Sean is someone we characterize as a hero, while he humbly feels he’s just doing his job. Instead of running away from a problem, Nurse is the type of person to run towards it with a solution in mind. Problem solver, trustworthy, loyal, fearless, courageous, and strong, are just a few words that come to mind when we think of Sean professionally and personally.
We are delighted to employ individuals like Sean, someone who gives everything to all aspects of their life. Even if the whole world were blind, Sean is someone who would still find a way to impress everyone with his extraordinary ambition, courage, and selflessness. Today, we want to take a moment to say thank you to Sean Nurse. Not only are you a devoted employee, but you are a true inspiration to all of us.Share
